We, my siblings and I, were the life of the party we had a pool so our house was a centre of activity mostly illegal activities, pints, mozos (alcohol and cigarettes) and partying I was privileged to attend prestigious schools in Kenya and come from a well off family. I don’t say that to show off but it’s strategic (deliberate and intended) positioning that has accorded me privilege and exposure that is required to reach those whom I am called to (purpose). I was married for six and a half years, now divorced, and blessed with a very special, beautiful, gifted daughter with a call to the nation of media arts and entertainment. I have not always been Pastor Angie I was quite the “hanger” the life and soul of the party…until I met ‘the one’ and stepped into the journey and process of purpose.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Q. I attended the Nairobi Chapel church, then it was located at the site currently occupied by Mamlaka Hill Chapel, for 11 years around year nine I gave my life to Christ and hence started a process of transformation and deliverance from smoking, drinking, anger, bitterness and sexual sin…. I relocated with Mavuno church in 2006 when the chapel churches multiplied and did a study called Mizizi that seeks to assist the believer find their God given purpose and I received a call from God to go into full time ministry which I rejected ferverently…but the call would not go away so in May – June 2006 with some friends we went on a 40 day fast from 6am-6pm and read Rick Warrens book Purpose Driven Life to discover our purpose. Then I joined the Mavuno internship program in 2007 where I discovered purpose and the gift of prayer in me amongst other things. I had a sense that there was more out there for me as the discoveries I was making about the real me were shocking and awesome (sometimes I ask God I was taking all this to the bar????) so I left Mavuno to attend the Kingdom Academy for two years which led me to refinement and self discovery (through relationship with God and anointed, gifted teachers) of my God given unique purpose and my calling which led me to starting the purpose and leadership forum. I continue to refine my knowledge of calling by attending the unreason to reason forum and a course called “understanding calling” so I am still on this journey[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Q. My Pastor Muriithi Wanjau of Mavuno church says “I am a connector and an evangelist” who is able to evangelize the message without preaching and I also think it’s Gods way of using me as the “realness” seems to minister. People can identify with it and I am able to say what they would like to say but can’t. It also allows people to share openly as their experiences are not as bad as mine so it opens up a platform to discuss deep things that would otherwise have been kept hidden. I also think the enemy has a plan “Lets keep this a secret” skeletons in the closet that then limit us, if you speak about it, it has less of a hold on you. In the book of James it says “Confess your sins to one another.” Realness brings about deliverance which happened to me, Pst M as we fondly call him asked me to confess to the whole church (luckily then 400 people meeting at the club) in February 2006 about my struggle with smoking yet still a born again and sanctified believer and after that confession in June the same year I was done with it. No more smoking. I believe there is power in confession and openness. Furthermore God uses every occurrence in a person’s life to weave a beautiful tapestry that speaks of His love and grace. I am convinced that by sharing our experiences, we testify of God’s goodness and encourage others to know that God works everything (good and bad) out for our good and for His glory. Every day people begin journeys that we have already been on and we can paint a picture of the finished product and give them hope to continue.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Q. AMAZING! LET’S TALK ABOUT PURPOSE. WHY IS IT IMPORTANT OF ONE TO KNOW WHAT ON EARTH THEY ARE HERE FOR?” tab_id=”1484406496247-5f943868-114d”][vc_column_text]A. Purpose is defined as the intended use of a thing, the reason, point, idea, principle,
function and use of the created. Every creator is strategic in his or her creation…no one creates without a purpose the proper intended use of the created. So purpose answers for us the intention of our creation. Why am I here? Man is strategically (i.e. with a deliberate and purposeful intent) created with a purpose and its important to locate and live out that purpose because purpose is always about others so our refusal to discover our purpose robs generations of theirs…Ephesians 2:10 AMP it states: “For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works, which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].”
And this purpose is predestined and prepared ahead of time as stated in psalm 139:13-16 NIV: ‘For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.’
Jeremiah 1:5 AMP as a further confirmation of predestined purpose and the need to find out why was I created and what is my unique God given purpose: ‘Before I formed (means fashioned you into shape) you in the womb I knew (purpose) [and] approved of you [as My chosen instrument], and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrating you; [and] I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.’
For Jeremiah it was to be a prophet to the nations…. What’s yours?
Unfortunately, many of us are going about life full of activity but unsatisfied because we are operating outside of God’s blueprint (purpose) for our lives, or satisfied doing our own thing vs. Gods thing for us…and we know there is more to this life than this and that scares us even more
There are many avenues, people and teachings on purpose and we to have one “the purpose and leadership forum” come and locate your God given and unique purpose.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Q. Ministry means assignment and my assignment is to recover a generation back to God through training and teaching market place leaders (individuals and organizations) the principles of the kingdom of God which leads them to locate and fulfill their unique God given purpose and plan…as a connector and with an anointing for acceleration and through the apostolic and prophetic gifts of God in me as an anointed Empowerment Speaker, Life coach, Teacher and Trainer.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Q.
